Review requests

Show reviews on your website

Add the website review widget with one line of code, choose how it looks, and hide a review that shouldn't be there.

The website widget shows your latest Google reviews and your replies on your own website. It's included on every plan.

Add it to your site

  1. Go to Settings → Website widget.
  2. Under Step 1, click Copy code.
  3. Paste the code into your website where you want the reviews to show. The page has steps for Squarespace, Wix, WordPress and GoDaddy Website Builder.

The same code works on every page. Changes show on your site within about 20 minutes. The widget sets no cookies and doesn't track visitors.

Choose how it looks

Under Step 2, owners and managers can pick:

  • Widget layout: Carousel, List or Badge.
  • Reviews to show: 3 to 10.
  • Widget colors: Automatic, Light or Dark, plus an Accent color.
  • Show the "Reviews by" link: Crew and Group (and the free trial) can hide the small link to Chiffchaff. On Solo and Duo it always shows.

The Preview on the page shows the result.

Sold out or closed notes

When you tap Sold out today or Closed today on the dashboard, the widget shows a short note at the top until midnight. See Sold out or closed today.

No rating filter

The widget always shows your real average and your latest reviews, whatever their rating. There's no setting to show only good reviews, because that would mislead the people reading them.

Hide a review

You can keep a review off your website if it's abusive or hateful, off-topic, contains personal details, or is clearly false. Owners and managers open the review in the inbox, click Hide from website widget, choose the reason and click Hide from widget. Click Show it again to undo.

A hidden review still counts in the average and total shown on the widget.
